1. Playa de Abama - Abama (T), 38687, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spanje
Playa de Albama was my favorite beach during my vacation in Tenerife. The beach is very small, creating a romantic atmosphere. Due to the surrounding rocks, the sea is somewhat enclosed, making the water warmer and delightful.
Although it is part of a resort, outsiders can still access it. Since it's a popular spot, I recommend going early if you're comming with a car because parking is limited. We arrived at the parking lot around 9 AM, and luckily, there was still one spot available. However, there was no one on the beach at that time, and it got busier as the afternoon approached. Keep in mind that from the parking lot, it's at least a 15-minute walk plus a steep staircase to navigate.
2. Playa de las Teresitas - Parking space: Av. Marítima de San Andrés, 38120 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spanje
Playa de las Teresitas is a sandy beach with delightful blue water. There are many boats in the water, providing a pleasant view. In the middle of the day, it can get quite busy, but not overly crowded, so there are plenty of beach beds available. Two beach beds and a parasol cost just a little over 6 euros in total. At the beach bars, they sell delicious mango and strawberry mojitos for 7 euros each. You can park for free near the beach, but be cautious of scammers claiming it costs 2-3 euros per day.
3. Palmetum - Av. la Constitución, 5, 38005 Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Palmetum is a botanical garden specializing in palm trees and located in Santa Cruz. It is a beautiful park situated on a hill, offering views of the ocean and Santa Cruz. For non-residents, an entrance ticket is 6 euros. The physical map, displaying the various routes, costs 0.50 euros. The routes are not excessively long, allowing you to complete both in an hour. There are many viewpoints for capturing beautiful photos. The park is well-equipped with toilets and benches. It is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
