1. Brama Restaurant – Via Nicola Botta, 13, 90015 Cefalù
The place is open from Monday to Wednesday at 19:00-23:00, closed at Thursday and open in the weekend.
Brama was undoubtedly one of our favorite restaurants in Cefalù. Located in a charming side street leading to the sea, it offered a cozy dining experience. We were seated on some kind of mini wooden deck just outside the restaurant. The service was perfect, with exceptionally friendly waitstaff who were competent in English.
During our visit we ordered two appetizers, two main dishes, two desserts, two bottles of water, two beers and a glass of wine, all for a total of 120 euros. The portion sizes were perfect.
For my appetizer, I ordered the Polpo alla Luciana, octopus cooked in tomato sauce, olives and capers. The octopus was incredibly tender, and the sauce was really tasteful because of the olives and capers. Be sure to leave some bread, so you can dip it in the remaining sauce.
If you’re a fan of octopus, this dish is an absolute must-try!
Another dish I highly recommend is the Tagliatelle al ragout di maialino, fresh tagliatelle with long-cooked pork ragout and semi-mature caciocavallo. This dish was full of savoury flavours and rich in taste. If you are not a big eater, this dish alone will suffice. If you are a big eater, you also need to try the Tonno scottato, seared tuna, scapece courgettes marinated in raspberry vinegar, garlic and apple mustard. The tuna was perfectly seared, while the centre was still pink. The combination of the sour pickled courgette and the sweet garnish alongside the tuna created a special flavor palette, I’d never experienced before.
On the other hand, I didn’t find the desserts to be fantastic compared to the rest of the food. I recommend grabbing some ice cream nearby if you’re still in the mood for something sweet.
2. Triscele restaurant - Via Umberto I°, 34, 90015 Cefalù PA
Triscele restaurant quickly became one of our favorites in Cefalù, and it wasn’t just because of the food but especially due to the great service. You can book a table by contacting the restaurant or by making a reservation via TheFork website. The restaurant is located in de centre close to Rocca di Cefalu. You can sit inside and outside the restaurant. While the outside area had a cozy look, it’s worth nothing that, despite having a reservation, we couldn’t sit outside. Which is my only point of criticism. Inside, there was enough space to dine. The interior was a bit old fashioned, with the walls made of rocks. The highlight of this restaurant was the attentive staff. They were very kind and added a dining experience by sharing a short story about the dishes as they were served.
Pricewise the restaurant is not that expensive. Both of us had an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. And for drinks we both had a glass of red wine and a bottle of sparkling water. To top off the meal, we were surprised with small cookies and free limoncello. All for a total of 100 euros. Given the quality and quantity of the food, this is a very reasonable price!
I recommend getting the Fusilloni with Nebrodi piglet ragout and ricotta cheese. This pasta dish was so full of flavor and gave me a warm feeling inside. The amount of saffron was insane.
If you’re staying in Cefalù, I would definitely recommend coming to this restaurant!

3. Sapore di Sale Gelateria Cefalu - Corso Ruggero, 160, 90015 Cefalu PA
During most of our time in Cefalù we got a dessert at the restaurants we’ve been. However, one time, we were craving ice cream really bad, so we decided to go to Sapore di Sale in the centre. The flavors that were served are really unique. I highly recommend getting the flavors Sapore di Sale and Don raffaé, both of them have a unique flavor with a bit of crunch. The staff is also really kind and helpful. For instance, when my boyfriend ordered two flavors that were quit similar in taste, the staff pointed this out and suggested a different flavor. If you’re on a journey in Cefalù, be sure to treat yourself to some ice cream here.
